1. Overview

Borinng (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Borinng mobile app and website at borinng.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Borinng you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and optionally a display name and profile photo.
• Content you post: Ideas, photos attached to ideas, and any other content you submit.
• Activity data:Ideas you save (“Want to try”), ideas you mark as done (“Done it”), and ideas you like.
• Sign in with Apple: If you sign in with Apple, we receive an anonymised Apple user ID and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay email address.
• Device and usage data: Standard server logs (IP address, device type, OS version, app version) collected automatically when you use the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Borinng service.
• To display your profile, ideas, and lists to you and other users.
• To authenticate you securely and keep your account safe.
• To enforce our community guidelines (including reviewing reported content).
• To send important service communications (we do not send marketing email without your consent).

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored using Supabase (supabase.com), a cloud database and storage provider. Data may be stored in data centres located in the United States or the European Union. Profile photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• With Supabase for hosting and database services.
• With Apple when using Sign in with Apple authentication.
• When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

6. Public Content

Ideas you post are public by default and visible to all users of Borinng, including visitors who are not signed in. Your username and display name are public. Your “Want to try” and “Done it” lists are visible only to you when signed in.

7. Your Rights and Choices

• Edit your profile: You can update your display name, bio, and avatar at any time from the Profile screen.
• Delete your content: You can delete any idea you have posted from your profile.
• Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This action is irreversible.
• Data requests: To request a copy of your data or ask any privacy-related question, contact us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Borinng is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and row-level security policies in our database. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Borinng after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
